Promiseland was started about 6 years ago.  It started out as a blank parcel of land that had not been tended for many years except for a few acres that was culivated.  Promiseland is a dream come true.  After much bush hogging, bulldozer pushing and trackhoe digging it began to look as I had imagined the first time I walked the farm.  Promiseland got its first Boer goats a few years back.  We started out with four purebred does already bred.  Expecting kids in 4 to 6 weeks as I had been told I thought I had plenty of time to get the hang of caring for goats. The does arrived on Friday evening. It was a great surprise to come home from church Sunday afternoon and have two beautiful kids on the ground.  One by one the does kidded out and the greatest adventure of my life began.  I still have those four does and they don’t mind letting new members of the family know they were here first (see doe page).  The first kidding season produced one set of triplets and three sets of twins.  I was amazed at how fast they grew.

Since the "girls" as I call them, there has been added five more registered does with great pedigrees.  Our last kidding season gave us three sets of triplets and six twins.  It is now august and breeding season will be here before I know it.  There has been added a new buck this year to share the load with "Cash" (check out the buck page) and one of the trips is a red buck that is perfect for our paint doe.

Promiseland is dedicated to quality, being very careful to produce Boer goats of quality and "refinement".  As most are lap babies, just grown up.  We can offer bucks that are gentle and tame and does that are excellent mothers.   We offer show prospects and breeder replacement goats.
